Ordering Timeline

IN STOCK orders: Wee Beasties that are in stock will ship to you within a week of your order (if you need them sooner, please send us a note in the comments section and/or choose expedited shipping with your order). Wee Beasties are all one-of-a kind unique creations. However…COMING SOON Ren can closely re-create select pictured ceramic Wee Beastie* with the understanding that inconsistencies will exist; hence, Ren is pleased to offer out-of-stock orders on select Wee Beasties! See below.

(COMING SOON) OUT OF STOCK orders: Turn around for out-of-stock orders usually takes at least 2-4 weeks, plus shipping time. This time lapse is due to constraints of the needed studio hours as well as the kiln firing process. Individual Beasties cannot be fired singly–they must wait for friends! That said, Ren will create them as soon as possible and orders can ship sooner depending where things sit in the creation cycle and how many other Beastie pals are ordered or waiting. For example, once an order has made it into the studio, creation can take 1-2 days. Then the clay Beastie takes 2-4 days to dry completely, depending on numerous factors, before going in the kiln. (If the clay is not completely dry, it can explode! super sad face) Firing the kiln takes 24 hours for one load of Beasties. Each Wee imp is fired twice: one bisque and one glaze fire, though bisque and glazed pieces can go into the kiln together. Glazing can take 2-4 days depending how many Beasties are in the load. Then we gather them up for shipping to their forever homes! (heart eyes emoji).

COMING SOON Inconsistencies of re-created Beasties: Wee Beasties are ART. Not really intended to be exactly the same as another Beastie. BUT…

  1. Check the description/gallery for multiple images of similar Wee Beasties. As new ones are made, more pictures will be added so you can have confidence regarding how closely the re-creation will resemble the original pictured image.
  2. Found object eyes will NOT be the same. That said, we will do our best to use a rusty washer to replace a rusty washer, a nut to replace a nut, etc. (Remember, you can alternately choose the Build-A-Beastie option that is coming soon!)
  3. Glaze does not always come out of the kiln with the exact same color, patterns or texture. (For example, a few of the Wee ones come out of the kiln a completely unexpected color! This is noted in the product descriptions, so please read them carefully! It will be noted that an “oopsie” happened and would be difficult to recreate.)
  4. At this time we do not offer glaze colors not shown on the website.
  5. Lastly, clay shrinks! So while we can do our best to measure and guestimate the finished product size, chemistry can always throw us a curveball.

* New plushies are not an Out-of-Stock option. They are significantly more time consuming and must needs live in a different studio altogether. Therefore, more will be added in-stock only at the whim of the artist.
